Having just started this forum we have no idea what problems may arise from it yet. so bear with us. For now let me set down the base rules!
[/li][/ul]
What is that little thing for? 'Karma'? And those buttons, 'Exalt' and 'Smite'? Well here is a guide to the karma system of this site![/center]
Exalting is the positive side of the karma system. You can only exalt or smite someone once and hour. Exalting adds to a user's karma.[/center][/b]
Smiting is the negative side of the karma system. You can only exalt or smite someone once and hour. Smiting takes away a user's karma.[/center][/b]
(More rules will be created upon the need for them.)
- Number 1: No harassment! Do not start cussing each other out or make an all out argument on this site. If someone posts material you find questionable, simply PM me to let me know. I will handle it.
- Number 2: Any rules myself or my second in command give are law here. Obey the rules and we'll get along fine.
- Number 3: if the Hit-man attacks you do not come whining to me. If you lost something it must have been breaking the rules in some way and therefor should have been deleted or moved to a more appropriate location.
- Number 4: Only BBCode works here (the stuff that uses the brackets), HTML is not compatible, please do not post it, it will be considered spam and be removed.
- Number 5: Roleplay rules change per roleplay. The public section is for roleplays where everyone can participate, the advanced is for roleplays between certain people.
- Number 6: To edit your profile, go to profile > modify profile. you can also change the way the forum looks from there by selecting a different forum skin.
- Number 7: Signatures are not allowed to be larger then the forum page. If it stretches the page out it is too large. If you do not remove it then an Admin will. Removing of signatures and inappropriate avatars will result in a strong warning and possibly banning in repeated cases.
- Number 8a: The Mature section is password protected, if you want in ask a mod for the password. It changes often.
- Number 8b: When asking for the password to the mature section, please give us a reason other than...you just want it, or you want to read porn. Some people don't like their roleplays being read. If you want to roleplay or something, just tell us, we should be okay with it.
- Number 9: God modding is forbidden. Any one caught god modding in public roleplays will have their offending posts removed. Follow what's going on.
- Number 10: DO NOT post in someone else's roleplay in the Advanced or Mature section without asking for permission from the original poster first.
- Number 11: Those found giving out the mature board password without permission will be banned

Karma and Its Uses
[/size]What is that little thing for? 'Karma'? And those buttons, 'Exalt' and 'Smite'? Well here is a guide to the karma system of this site![/center]
Exalting
Exalting is the positive side of the karma system. You can only exalt or smite someone once and hour. Exalting adds to a user's karma.[/center][/b]
You Exalt:
- Because someone made an excellent point in an argument.
- Because a user did a very good or kind thing.
- Because the user's post made you laugh hysterically.
- Because the user did something full of undeniable epic and win.
You DON'T Exalt:
- Because the user is your friend.
- To cheer someone up.
- To kiss ass.
- To welcome a user to the board.
- They said something you agree with.
- Because you feel like it.
Smiting
Smiting is the negative side of the karma system. You can only exalt or smite someone once and hour. Smiting takes away a user's karma.[/center][/b]
You Smite:
- When the user has done something very, very rude or insulting. Make sure to report to the admins as well.
- Trolls.
- When someone is being very immature or childish in an argument.
You DON’T Smite:
- Because you’re mad at someone.
- Because someone has a different opinion than you.
- Because someone gave your critique instead of saying “HOMG UR ARTZ SO AWSUM”.
- Because you feel like it.
How do I report a post to an admin?
[/size]So you've found something that breaks the rules, eh? Well, thanks to recent improvements, ProBoards has put in a handy dandy report button!
What are warnings?
When you report a post to the admins, we will review the post and determine if the poster should be warned or banned. But just what is 'warning'? Well, when a user is warned, a red bar appears above the user's profile picture with a percentage of how much they have been warned. When that percentage reaches 100%, you're banned for a certain amount of time, or permanently. (This bar is ONLY visible to the staff and the user who broke the rules. So it won't be too embarrassing.)
How do you get rid of the warning? We will bring you back down to 0% when we feel you've learned your lesson, or you can PM an admin and explain why you broke the rules.

Rules for Contests
Some simple rules for those of you wishing to hold a contest on this website. If a contest is made without following these rules, they will be removed.
[/li][/ul]Some simple rules for those of you wishing to hold a contest on this website. If a contest is made without following these rules, they will be removed.
- Only board members may enter board contests.
- All contests must be held on-site. No linking to other sites. However, you CAN advertise for your contest, but do so on a different board, for example, general, or advertise in your signature.
- No changing the prize after making your contest. Some people might join just for the prize they might get.
- If you hold a contest, you MUST end it at a point in time and give away prizes. There will be no “well, there weren’t that many contestants, so I’m dropping the contest”. That is not fair to the people who have already entered. The only exception is if you have no entries at the time.
- If your thread is deleted or locked because you broke one of these rules, contact an admin to see what needs changing. DO NOT REPOST THE CONTEST until you fix what is wrong.
- If you should see a contest breaking these rules, please report their post.
Cbox Rules
- Number 1: The cboxes in the mature board and advanced roleplays are to be used mostly, if not entirely, for plot discussion and roleplay planning only, or for alerting members that you posted on a thread.
- Number 2: The cbox in the public roleplay area is for general chat. You can talk about anything here with your fellow Corridor-mates.
- Number 3: Keep excessive cursing from the general chat cbox. Some cussing is alright, but don't be like, "Oh man I was totally poppin' dat sweet ass pussy all night with some hoes ya dig?".
- Number 4: DO NOT SPAM ADVERTISEMENTS FOR OTHER SITES. You can say, "Hey I made a site check it out." but only once or twice. It's RUDE to continuously advertise.
- Number 5: DO NOT roleplay in the chat. That's what the rp sections are FOR.
- Number 6: No fighting each other. If you have a problem with someone, PM them and fight there.
- Number 7: Admins can break these rules all we want. We're admins. We like to curse. We like to fight. We like to joke.
- Number 8: Remember, they're just cboxes. Not a way to ask us admins a quick question. Always PM one of us if you need something, not post on a cbox and expect us to answer.
(More rules will be created upon the need for them.)
